Don't know if I can tell the difference between the regular and the dark. But I have switched to Dark ... just because.

Dark Roast Profile

The Dark Roast Profile has made a 100% improvement and transformed the flavor and aroma of my coffee. I use Lavazza Super Crema beans in a Breville Grinder Pro with a Technivorm brewer. Previously I used the Classic profile, which is great. But the Dark Roast Profile in combination with the Italian Lavazza beans and my brewer SINGS!! True café quality.

Dark Roast Profile 12 One Gallon Sticks

In my personal opinion, I felt this water brew very good sweet bitterness, vanilla flavor and smooth mouth feel body from a dark roast beans. I felt this water inhibits acidity level to a little bit small beside the trigger of the bitter-sweetness. When I tried to brew a cup of coffee, it seems that ground coffee beans became very melty while brewing time. I do not know why…but he number of the yield rises up to a lttle bit higher than usual, but almost same. This was just my feeling personally. I think this water is useful for balancing bitter sweetness and bitter-acidity which is not including sweetness. I really like the bitter sweetness and vanilla flavor brewed by this water. I do not like sour-bitterness. In the case of that my customer wants to inhibits fruit’s acidity as well, I would like to use this water for brewing a dark roast beans.

Great product but unsure of formula

I usually buy dark roast beans and grind them myself. I bought the new dark roast Third Wave product, but can find no explanation of how it differs from the original formula.
